 If it is difficult to obtain the original, a photocopy of the transcript or a printout of the web-based transcript is acceptable.
(4)Copies of the front and back of the resident card
・Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master's or doctoral program at the University. However, applicants must not have taken a leave of absence, been absent for an extended period of time, or been in residence for an extended period of time. (The Foundation's FAQ states that students who have been out of school for a year or have taken a leave of absence are eligible to apply, but it is difficult for the University to recommend these foreign students unless they have a good reason to do so.)
・There is no interview at the time of selection by the Foundation.
・The Foundation's FAQ states that students who are concurrently applying for other scholarships are eligible to apply, but we are not able to do so.

*For those who receive scholarships, grants for tuition and living expenses, salaries, etc. from other institutions, adjustments will be made so that the total monthly amount of such assistance and the amount of the grant from the Foundation will not exceed 100,000 yen. However, scholarships from universities are not subject to adjustment (must be funded by the university).
