Kyushu University’s Program for Accepting International Students from U.S. Universities<\/em><\/h2>\r\n
\r\nThe suspension of international students at U.S. universities has caused widespread concern and anxiety among students enrolled in or planning to study abroad at U.S. universities.
\r\n
\r\nKyushu University will provide support for the continuation of studies so that motivated and talented young people from diverse backgrounds can freely and openly pursue academic studies and promote systematic \u201cinternational collaboration,\u201d which is one of the visions of Kyushu University VISION 2030.
\r\n
\r\n $\"support\"$ \r\n<\/p>\r\nSpecifically, KU will implement the following support measures.
\r\n(Depending on future circumstances, we may consider revising our support measures.)
\r\n
\r\n
Eligibility for support<\/em><\/h4>\r\n\r\n
\r\nInternational students, including Japanese students, enrolled or scheduled to enroll at U.S. universities that have suspended their international student acceptance programs and U.S. universities that have student exchange agreements with Kyushu University.
\r\nDetails are shown in 1 and 2 below.\r\n
\r\n
1.Eligible universities<\/em><\/h5>\r\nUniversities that meet the requirements of (1) or (2) below
\r\n(1) U.S. universities that have suspended their international student programs
\r\n(2) U.S. universities that have academic \/ student exchange agreements with Kyushu University

2.Eligible person<\/em><\/h5>\r\nDegree-seeking students (excluding online courses) who meet the requirements of (1) or (2) below.
\r\n(1)Students enrolled in the eligible university
\r\n(2)Students who have been accepted to the eligible university this fall
\r\n\u203bNon degree students are ineligible.
\r\n\r\n
Admission categories<\/em><\/h4>\r\n
Undergraduate Students<\/em><\/h5>\r\nStudents will be accepted as non-degree students (such as credited auditors or special auditing students) who are permitted to take regular courses offered at KU
\r\n
Graduate Students<\/em><\/h5>\r\nStudents will be accepted as non-degree students (such as research students or special research students) who are permitted to conduct research on specific academic topics under the supervision of our faculty members
\r\n\r\n
Acceptance periods<\/em><\/h5>\r\n
Undergraduate Students<\/em><\/h5>\r\nFrom October 2025 to March 31, 2026
\r\n
Graduate Students<\/em><\/h5>\r\nFrom July 2025 to March 31, 2026
\r\n*The acceptance period may be extended depending on subsequent circumstances.

\r\n
Financial support<\/em><\/h4>\r\nThe application fee, entrance fee, and tuition will be fully exempted.
\r\n
\r\n
Housing support<\/em><\/h4>\r\nWe will support students who are eligible for support to move into our dormitory (for a fee).
\r\n
\r\n
Other<\/em><\/h4>\r\nWe support the necessary procedures during travel and after arrival in Japan, such as obtaining a student visa, resident registration, and opening a bank account.
