Participants will undertake training primarily focused on Japanese studies and Japanese culture at the International Student Center of our university for approximately 11 months.<br \/>\r\nThe objective of the program is to improve Japanese language proficiency necessary for future Japanese studies, as well as to deepen participants\u2019 understanding of Japanese society and culture.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nThe study (training) period is typically from October to August.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nRegarding the <b>University Recommendation<\/b>, around the end of March each year, outstanding candidates are selected from among students at partner universities who wish to enroll in this course and are recommended to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).<br \/>\r\n(Students wishing to enroll at our university should submit an application for exchange study through their home university around December of the preceding year.)\r\nMEXT is expected to make the final selection in late June, and successful candidates are normally scheduled to arrive in Japan in late September.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nRegarding the <b>Embassy Recommendation<\/b>, recruitment is conducted by the Japanese Embassy or Consulate-General in the applicant\u2019s country of nationality. Applications typically open between December and January of the year preceding the intended start of study.
