The Strategic International Advisory Group (SIAG) is holding a Faculty Development (FD) session titled \u201cTax\u201d coordinated by Associate Professor Xiaoyan Li (School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation) and Professor Ellen Van Goethem (Faculty of Humanities). This Faculty Development session will focus on aspects of Japan\u2019s income tax system most relevant to Kyushu University faculty members. Tax accountant Mr. Hidaka will explain how year-end tax adjustments and individual tax returns work, and in which cases filing is required\u2014for example, when earning income outside Kyushu University, or when eligible for refunds such as medical expense deductions, housing loan deductions, or hometown tax donations.
