We work to create a comfortable and pleasant environment for foreign students of Kyushu University in order to make their stay and studies more fruitful.
About Us
KUFSA (Kyushu University Foreign Students Association) is an organization that represents all foreign students enrolled at Kyushu University (Kyudai). Every year, Kyudai opens its doors to foreign students from various countries and this enables them to automatically become members of KUFSA. Presently, KUFSA has students representing up to 98 nations and territories, thus fusing culture and customs from all around the world. To ensure students' happiness, various activities that promote a healthy environment and balance of daily life, study and play, are planned and organized annually. Our goal is to promote cooperation, collaboration and friendship not only among foreigners, but also with Japanese people.
In ensuring a strong bridge between Japan and the world, KUFSA highlights useful information about living in Fukuoka. We wish that you enjoy your stay and capture many wonderful life challenging experiences, as well as fond memories that will resonate within you. May your studies be fruitful and your life be enriched.
Objectives
- Promote friendship and exchange among international students from more than 98 countries and the Japanese people.
- Strengthen the link among students in general and through this, develop mutual respect, broaden their vision, and share a common environment in which they can show their diversified cultural background and their advanced academic training.
- Enhance the participants' general understanding of conditions and customs of various nationalities so as to broaden their world view.
2020-2021 Committee Members
To plan KUFSA annual activities and cooperate with other institutions and organizations that support foreign students in Kyushu, a group of students and researchers in Kyushu University are recruited every year.

KUFSA Billiards Tournament 2019
One of our newer sports events, loved by many. Many participants, both experienced and amateurs enjoyed playing in our tournament.
Nagasaki 2-day Camp 2019
The travel event most unique from our other trips is our annual 2-day trip. During this trip we visited the wonderful prefecture of Nagasaki.
KUFSA Talent Hunt 2019
KTH is our most anticipated event of the year. An enjoyable event where competitors and guests show a spectacular display of talents.
KUFSA Badminton Tournament 2019
Our annual Badminton tournament. Veterans and newcomers; male and female alike enjoyed the event.
KUFSA Autumn Trip 2019
We visited Asakura, Kurume and Ukiha, cities of Fukuoka. We experienced history, culture and sweet perssimmon fruit to make a memorable day.
KUFSA Internation Year End Party 2019
Our annual Year end party organized by the culture department. Good food, fun games and activities, and a lot of smiles to wrap up the good year.
KUFSA Winter Trip 2020
A trip to the famous town of Yufuin to start the new year. We discovered the rich culture of the winter town and the amazing scenery along the way.
