MIRAI (the Swedish–Japanese University Alliance) invites Master’s and PhD students from its member universities to apply for “MIRAI Global Solutions Olympiad 2026.”
In this program, students from Japan and Sweden form international teams and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration.
🏆Winning teams will be invited to present their work at the MIRAI Research & Innovation Week 2026 in Fukuoka, Japan.
🚀Program Highlights
⚫Online co-creation in Japanese–Swedish teams
⚫Open to all disciplines (interdisciplinary approach encouraged)
⚫Intensive two-week collaboration
⚫Deliverables: written solution or pitch video
⚫Opportunity to present in Fukuoka
🎓Eligibility
⚫Master’s and PhD students at MIRAI member universities
⚫All academic fields welcome
⚫English proficiency required for teamwork
👥Team Formation
⚫Teams of up to 4 students must be formed independently
⚫Mixed teams are encouraged (bonus in evaluation)
