Club & Circle Activities
Club & Circle Guidebook
In Japan, student clubs are referred to as “circles.” This term originates from the idea of students forming a circle (circle) to share the same interests and goals. Kyushu University has many student clubs and circles that actively engage in various sports, cultural, and artistic activities. We have created a guidebook in English specifically for international students, summarizing the student club and circle activities at Kyushu University. This guidebook not only provides information about the various circles at Kyushu University but also explains the culture of circles in Japan and how to join them.
Please take a look at the guidebook, and if you find any circles that interest you, feel free to get in touch with them.
Welcome Performance for New Int’l Students
At the New International Student Orientation and Welcome Party, the “Kakyō (Japanese Drumming Club)” and the “Kyushu University Calligraphy Club,” both featured in the guidebook mentioned above, performed welcome presentations.
Through the traditional Japanese arts of taiko drumming and calligraphy, they conveyed their support and encouragement to the newly arrived international students.
