Dear Kyushu University Students,
The Student Committee for Internationalization of Kyushu University (SCIKyu) is now recruiting new members. (both Japanese and international students)!
【What is SCIKyu?】
・SCIKyu was initiated in 2011 to promote the internationalization of Kyushu University from the perspective of students.
・SCIKyu consists of Japanese and international students working together under the supervision of professors and administrative staff.
・SCIKyu is a thinktank delegated to consider and promote the internationalization of the university.
*SCIKyu is not an organization that plans or runs events like a club; instead, it mainly focuses on providing proposals.
【What will you do as a SCIKyu Member?】
・Discussing internationalization of the university.
・Creating a team (if needed).
・Communication with related departments at Kyushu University.
・Attending general meetings and student meetings (held several times a year) regularly.
*All SCIKyu activities are carried out in English.
【Examples of Activities】
・Survey and suggestion regarding the website of Kyushu University
・Created a club guidebook for international students
・Survey of Japanese students regarding study abroad
・Suggestion to University Co-op for internationalization of foods served at cafeterias (World Cuisine)
・Suggestion regirding Nihongo Lunch Meetup (An event where Japanese and international students talk in simple Japanese.)
【Term】
From April 2026 to March 2027 (a one-year term, renewable)
