National Taiwan University
Kyushu University concluded the strategic partnership agreement with National Taiwan University
(NTU) in September 2023.
Kyushu University has been collaborating with NTU for long. In 2019, then Kyushu president Kubo visited NTU and discussed the possibility of collaborative activities. That led to hosting the first “NTU-Kyushu Colloquium”. In 2020, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, both institutions continued the efforts to make it happen the second colloquium in a webinar format online.
Overcoming the difficult time, Kyushu presidentʼs delegation visited NTU in 2023 and the in-person meeting came true. Finally, in September 2023, NTU president Chen visited our Kyushu campus for the invited speech at commencement ceremony. Taking that opportunity, both presidents signed the agreement on strategic partnership.
Based on the partnership, both universities aim at deepening and expanding the scope of the exchanges including the mobility of students.
