[Call for Application: Due 2/10] Learn SDGs onsite and online toward the solution of global challenges! (APRU SDG4GC Program 2025)

Why don’t you deepen your understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to tackle global challenges, working with colleagues from the world?

The SDG Education for Global Citizenship (SDG4GC) Program combines online and face-to-face learning. It is offered by the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), an international consortium that includes Kyushu University as a member. The program was developed in collaboration with the United Nations and partner universities, including Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), Chinese University of Hong Kong (China), Kyushu University (Japan), Chinese Academy of Sciences University (China), and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
Now in its third year, the program focuses on the overall theme " Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity - Actions for Sustainability". Participants from APRU member universities will learn about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), explore various perspectives on global challenges, and present solutions during the final pitch contest.

Truly enriching journey filled with challenges, inspiring moments, and personal growth. Visiting the indigenous community was particularly impactful. The lectures, discussions, workshops, and visits to cultural sites significantly boosted my self-confidence for the future. (Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences)

This program, particularly the on-site component, significantly enhanced my capacity for collaborative engagement. It equipped me with practical skills in cross-cultural communication, empathetic listening, and community-based research. More importantly, it cultivated in me a mindset of openness, respect, and genuine curiosity about different ways of life. (School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation)
