The APRU Undergraduate Leaders’ Program (ULP) is a short-term study abroad program for undergraduates offered by APRU (Association of Pacific Rim Universities), an international consortium of which Kyushu University is a member. This year's theme is "Future Ready: Leadership in the Age of AI and Robotics," focusing on solving challenges in design, society, and leadership in an era where robotics technology is deeply integrated into daily life. Through lectures, corporate visits, and cultural experiences in this program, participants will deepen their understanding of cultural diversity and inclusivity while developing the qualities of a globally-minded leader. 📍Location & Host University ※In-person format
Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) / Shenzhen, China
👤Eligibility
1) Must be an undergraduate student (second year or above) enrolled at Kyushu University during the program period. ※Faculty and major are not restricted.
2) Possess sufficient English proficiency to participate in this program. ※The program language is English.
3) Have obtained permission to participate in this program from the faculty advisor of your affiliated department.
4) Be able to cover all program-related expenses independently.
5) Participation in this program must not interfere with classes, exams, or other academic obligations at Kyushu University.

Maximum of 6 participants (within Kyushu University)
💰Participation Cost
Estimated: Approximately ¥200,000 to ¥250,000
・Program Participation Fee (USD 650: approx. ¥100,000 *Includes meals and accommodation)
・Travel expenses (round-trip airfare, other transportation costs)
・Overseas travel insurance, crisis management service fee
・Passport application fee, visa application fee, etc. (if required)
・Other expenses outside the program

The selection process for this program consists of two stages as follows:
1. Internal Application and Selection
After carefully reading the above website, please complete the required information in the form below (in English) and submit your application. Selection will be conducted based on the submitted documents and information.
Application Form (Kyushu University Internal Use)
When applying, you will be required to upload and submit the following documents. Please have them ready in advance.
① Letter of recommendation from your academic advisor
② Documentation proving English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS score sheets)
③ Academic transcript (in English) *Must reflect most recent grades
Application Deadline (Kyushu University Internal Application):
Thursday, February 19
2. Final Application and Selection by Program Organizers
After receiving notification of the results of the internal selection process, those who pass the internal selection will submit their official application to the program via a dedicated form. The program organizer will conduct a final review to determine participation eligibility.
