Short-term Programs
The following is a list of short-term study abroad programs, available mainly during summer and spring breaks offered by the Study Abroad Section.

Exchange Programs
Students study abroad for a period of one semester to one year based on the student exchange agreement that Kyushu University has with an overseas university.
University Level

Internship
Students gain work experience at an overseas company, university, research institute, etc. for a certain period of time.

Study Abroad Insurance
Students studying abroad are required to be prepared for various risks abroad, such as incidents, accidents, terrorism, and infectious diseases, while dealing with different cultures and systems. The following link is for Study Abroad Insurance.
Double Degree Programs
Kyushu University has been collaborating with partner institutions to implement various double degree programs.
A double degree program (DDP), sometimes called a dual degree program, is an international education program that is jointly carried out by two institutions located in different countries.
Upon satisfying both institutions’ graduation criteria, two equivalent-level degrees are awarded to a DDP student. Please refer to the following page for details.
Procedure for Study Abroad
The following items are generally required after the decision to study abroad has been made.
Be sure to check the necessary procedures for each program and make your own preparations.

Failure to do so may result in an order to return to your home country, refund of scholarship funds, or other disciplinary action.
Online International Education and Exchange
Kyushu University joined the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), a network of 60 leading universities from the Americas, Asia and Australasia.
APRU runs an online exchange program that allows students to take international online courses without having to travel.
