The event began with introductions from students who have studied abroad , and they shared the attractions of their respective destinations. This was followed by a roundtable discussion between the experienced students and participants. The roundtable discussions were divided into regions: Europe, Asia/Oceania, and the Americas. The event was structured in two parts, allowing participants to switch to another region of interest after the first part. This setup enabled students to freely converse with those who had studied in the regions they were interested in.
During the roundtable, students with study abroad experience from both humanities and sciences, as well as undergraduate and graduate levels, shared their real-life experiences with students considering studying abroad. They discussed various topics, including daily life abroad, the preparations needed before departure, reasons for studying abroad, how they chose their destinations, how to schedule their time before departure, how to take courses, balancing studying abroad with job hunting, and the joys of studying abroad. The discussions were lively and covered a wide range of topics. Additionally, by grouping students by region, the event provided an opportunity for students interested in similar regions to meet and connect.
With the consent of the participants, contact information was actively exchanged between experienced students and participants, as well as among the participants themselves. This facilitated connections among students through the theme of studying abroad.
Feedback collected through a survey after the event included comments such as "I learned a lot about studying abroad" and "I could talk freely, and it was very helpful," indicating that the event was fulfilling. As the first round of university exchange program applications has begun, and the opportunity to study abroad is approaching, the study abroad section will continue to actively organize events to share the charms of studying abroad and alleviate students' concerns.
